Behind the fire and flavor is the husband-and-wife team, Adam and Wannalee Gorelick. Wannalee was born and raised in rural Thailand, where her earliest memories are filled with the scents and spices of traditional Thai cooking. At 22, with a social work degree and just $100 in her pocket, she made her way to the United States—driven by grit, heart, and an unshakable passion for her culture.
Together with Adam, the couple has spent the last 13 years building a restaurant family across Houston. From Spring’s Charm Thai Bistro to Charm Thai Kitchen & Bar in The Woodlands, they’ve created spaces that reflect their story—one of love, hustle, and a deep respect for food that brings people together.
Charm Taphouse & BBQ is their seventh restaurant—a bold new fusion of Texas BBQ tradition and the fiery, complex flavors of Thai cuisine. It’s more than a menu—it’s a celebration of two cultures, crafted by two people who’ve lived every part of this journey.
